SolidWorks is a solid modeling computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) application published by Dassault Systems. According to the publisher, over two million engineers and designers at more than 165,000 companies were using SolidWorks as of 2013.
No experience is required, But fundamental knowledge of Eng. Drawing & AutoCAD would be helpful.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate competency with multiple drawing and modification commands in SolidWorks.
- Create three-dimensional solid models.
- Create three-dimensional assemblies incorporating multiple solid models.
- Apply industry standards in the preparation of technical mechanical drawings.
SOLIDWORKS simulation is really targeting product engineers. So they can use the technology of simulation during the concept phase, and the detailing design phase. And the goal is really to get technical insight while you design your product and to have these insights to make a decision.
